Testimonials
Because of the sensitive nature of the work we do with family businesses, most clients do not talk about it outside their own family. Of course we always respect their confidentiality. We are therefore very grateful to our clients below who have agreed to let us share their comments with you regarding our work:

I contacted Peter Leach in 2007 in connection with advice on structuring a Family Charter for my private Hotel and Restaurant business. After doing a great deal of research in the UK market place, Peter proved to be the most experienced and highly recommended specialist in this particular area.
Peter carried out the process of developing our Family Charter in a stimulating and very professional manner and myself and my family were highly delighted with the complete process.
Our Family Charter is now in action and is working extremely well, giving great confidence for the future of our Company to ourselves and the next generation.

I have known and worked with Peter Leach for an extended period between November 2004 and March 2007. We invited him to work with our family members in creating a Family Constitution for the family business. He came highly recommended.
It has been our privilege and pleasure to work closely with Peter. He brings tremendous wisdom, rich global experience, insight and a deep understanding of the complex workings and dynamic of family business. As a thorough professional, Peter demonstrated a true sense of partnership and worked with us in a very forthright and empathetic manner. He provided exemplary thought leadership in designing our constitution that met the long term requirements of our family business.
Peter is a leading expert in this area and commands credibility and visibility across various countries. His Book Family Business: The Essentials is a landmark that puts every piece of family business dynamics in rich perspective.

My father had always hoped that, as his son, I would take over the running of the family business, just as had been done before. However, he was also keen that his daughters should have an interest in the business, and a previous trust settlement had passed on a proportion of the shares to all four siblings equally. Beyond this, he never really had a succession plan. Despite all good intentions the situation was confused and unclear.
By working closely with us all Peter not only sorted out the succession issue, but did so in such a way that this sensitive matter never became reason for potential animosity between family members. The friendship between the siblings was never endangered, and that was the important bit to me; relationships with your family matter. We are well aware that without his help, things could have been very complicated. Instead, our internal family relationships have never been stronger, and the business has only been strengthened by the intervention.

In Musgraves we developed our Family governance structure over several years with the assistance of Peter Leach and his team. His knowledge of this process, and his total commitment and professionalism, were of vital assistance to us in our successful completion of this programme.

With the future of the fourth generation family businesses being questioned and the zones of uncomfortable debate widening our family relationships were under considerable strain.
Peter was invited in to facilitate a process that gave all shareholders a safe, equal platform from which to voice their hopes and fears. Subsequently some shareholders went their separate ways whilst others have carried on with the business. There are no hard feelings either way and the big, jolly all inclusive family events continue. Meanwhile the Company has just celebrated its first 70 years.
With the value of hind sight the only regret would be that we did not find Peter sooner.

I am a satisfied family business owner who used Peter Leach to guide strategic change of 50% partner from ageing sleeping partner to dynamic large USA corporation.
Strategically speaking, I wouldn't cross the road without speaking to Peter Leach first.

It has been a pleasure and a privilege to get to know Peter Leach and to work with him.
We engaged Peter in 2006 to assist us with the succession planning and governance structure of our family business.
Peter's vision allowed him to quickly assess the pertinent issues facing our family. His consensual style of working allowed everyone to contribute and feel valued, helping us to arrive at a set of win-win solutions for all members of the family.
Peter's style demonstrates a strong intellect, deep experience, cultural empathy and creativity in the solutions he provides.
God willing, the work that we have done with Peter will ensure harmony in the family and success in the business for many generations to come.
